Background and Objectives
Facilitate the transfer of European best practices in waste management and enhance the operational capacity of Thi-Qar authorities to develop integrated waste recovery and management action plans.
Activities
- Perform gap assessments in existing waste management systems
- Develop an integrated Action Plan for waste optimization
- Implement a pilot separate collection project
- Conduct staff training and legal framework analysis
Results
Establishment of a dedicated waste management organization, greater efficiency in waste separation, and reduced dependency on landfill disposal.
