Background and Objectives
The project aims to support the development and upgrade of the North-South Road Corridor in Armenia by conducting feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, and supervising construction works. The main objective is to transform a two-lane road into a four-lane highway, improving safety and traffic efficiency.
Activities
- Phase 1: Feasibility study including data collection, investigations, and economic analysis.
- Phase 2: Complete preliminary design, including surveys and technical sketches.
- Phase 3: Detailed design phase with final construction documentation (drawings, due diligence, land acquisition plans, environmental impact reports, etc.).
- Phase 4: Supervision of the construction works for Tranche 4, resolving design issues and ensuring compliance with technical standards.
Coordination of contractual and procurement-related aspects, logistics management, capacity building, and HR support.
Results
- Preparation and approval of all necessary project documents for implementation.
- Effective supervision ensuring that construction work complies with FIDIC standards.
- A modernized and safe road corridor, enhancing regional connectivity and mobility.
