Background and Objectives
The project aims to rehabilitate the R1 road (connecting Chisinau to Ungheni-Sculeni) through resurfacing, cold recycling, bridge and culvert demolition/reconstruction, and the installation of new drainage systems to enhance safety and functionality.
Activities
- Pre-construction planning and assessment of existing conditions.
- Administration of the civil works contract, including material and construction method approvals.
- Direct on-site supervision and quality control of the rehabilitation works.
- Preparation of mandatory technical reports, payment certifications, and progress updates.
Results
- Complete rehabilitation of the R1 road with improved structural integrity and functionality.
- Enhanced road safety through updated drainage and safety systems (barriers, signage, etc.).
- A modern road system that meets European standards in terms of safety and durability.
